About York Army Museum
Housed in a Grade II listed former military building on Tower Street, the York Army Museum is the regimental museum of the Royal Dragoon Guards and the Prince of Wales’s Own Regiment of Yorkshire. Galleries trace more than 300 years of service through uniforms, weapons, medals, paintings and personal artefacts, covering campaigns from Waterloo and the Charge of the Heavy Brigade at Balaclava through both World Wars to recent operations.
