About Minster Gardens
The Minster Gardens is a public park, opened by York Minster in 2023, one of many fantastic green spaces in the city. Sitting in this grassy area and perhaps escaping the crowds, visitors can enjoy superb views of the south side of the Minster, including the Rose Window, the Central Tower, along with the statue of Roman Emperor Constantine.
Inside the park, visitors can explore the sensory garden area, designed to help people connect more closely with nature. Nearby is a restaurant, the York Minster Refectory, housed inside a 19th century school building.
