York Gin is a local distillery which has won national and international awards. Their products are stocked at almost every bar in the city.
About York Gin
Based near the Shambles, York Gin have combined the city’s history and superstitions with local botanicals, to create spirits inspired by legends.
Their Grey Lady gin is flavoured with Earl Grey Tea and celebrates one of York’s best-known ghosts.
The Grey Lady is said to be a young medieval nun who haunts York Theatre Royal; actors now believe it is good luck to see her before a performance.
York Gin also offer tastings, merchandise and workshops where you can create your own bespoke gin.
