About York Dungeon
The York Dungeon takes visitors through a series of immersive themed sets staffed by costumed live actors who bring 2,000 years of the city’s grislier history to life, from Vikings and Guy Fawkes to plague doctors and highwayman Dick Turpin. The experience combines special effects, dark humour and a couple of indoor rides, lasting roughly 75 minutes and located on Clifford Street near Clifford’s Tower.
